I don't know why this updated driver isn't made available on the notebook pages. Forgot to say that I just re-install it with XPand found this problem.

Almost every other owner of this laptop has the same problem. Almost tried all drivers, including original asus ones. That is very helpful, thank you fhau, I have been having some bsod's dealing with memory, but not ram 3 loops of memtest allll night with 0 errors for both dimms so Attqnsic will check this chipset driver dl. I tried almost every driver out there, searced google for hours same problem no proper solution yet. No, create an account now. SYS on startup, until eventually the Atheros L1 gigabit network arheros wouldn't show up at all in device manager, and also wouldn't show up running off the Ubuntu 7.
Basically the LAN card was invisible to every operating system I tried. Flaming or offending other users.

Promote cracked software, or other illegal content. That is the only driver I could find under chipsets for the laptop chipsets. Im so pissed off right now.
